This has benefited the whole of the coastline with a vast amount of infrastructure improvements from airports to water desalination plants (creating drinking water from the sea) and the more obvious retail developments. This region is now so developed that it is easily able to cope with the now millions of tourists who visit this coastline during the Spring - Summer periods. This fact is something that we take for granted until our home region starts enforcing water tightening procedures when we then realise how organised the Murcian & Valencian authorities are for managing their natural resources to ensure that there is plenty to go around.
